Pac-Man Championship Edition (2007)

I found this game while browsing the new games on the XBox 360 dashboard, and decided to download the demo. After no more than ten minutes with the demo I decided to put down the $10 for a game well worth it. For those of you that hear the name Pac-Man and think of the old arcade game, think again, this is a sequel to the great revamping of the series Pac-man Championship Edition which came out back in 2007. While it does have its roots in the classic game this new edition adds so many variations to the boards and game modes, as well as new enemies like sleeping ghosts which wake up when you move past them. You can wake these ghosts up and get them to follow you then eat your power pellet and have fund racking up combos as you eat them in all there HD glory. If you ever played prior Pac-man games you probably had plenty of moments when you turn the wrong way or move the joystick without thinking due to the fast pace of the game, this game is a little more forgiving adding a slow motion effect when you get close to a ghost, as well as adding bombs you can activate with the L or R triggers sending all current ghosts chasing you into the middle of the board. When all is said and done this game is quite a nice distraction from all the time I’ve been spending playing Call of Duty lately and can be played by all types of people just like prior iterations in the series, easy to play hard to master but guaranteed hours of fun.
